Architecture is one of my profound passions. With over 20 years of experience, I am dedicated to helping clients implement their visions. Based in the village of Old, Lucy Tomkins Architecture proudly serves Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, and the surrounding counties. My expertise spans residential new builds, extensions, and alterations, including listed buildings, barn conversions, agricultural and equestrian structures, and commercial projects including restaurants and retail spaces. I also actively pursue site development opportunities.
I take a careful and practical approach, focusing on details and accuracy from the first consultation meeting with you through to completion. Barn Conversion and Garden Room Extension to a Grade II Listed House in Northamptonshire
We have engaged Lucy’s architectural services for a number of projects at our home, most recently the conversion and adaptation of a barn with lantern roofed link room extension. She expertly created designs to complement our brief then successfully applied for planning and listed building consents given our home’s listed status, sensitively satisfying the Council’s officers’ expectations at first instance on each submission. Lucy also engaged the necessary consultants for archaeological, structural and building regulations needs.
Lucy managed the tender process with selected building companies, then worked closely with the chosen builders S Walker Building Contractor Limited throughout the project, with a detailed schedule of meetings on site, minuted and with associated action points, all delivered to budget.
We greatly valued her enthusiasm, high level of skill and attention to detail to create the additional accommodation for our home which we have since greatly enjoyed and benefited from. We would highly recommend her services to her prospective clients. ‘
